ZenCut ("we", "our", or "us") is a boutique software development studio committed to building privacy-first creative tools. This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of data when you use our ZenCut AI Background Remover mobile application (the "Service").

            The Core Privacy Guarantee: No photo, image, or video processed in this app is ever
            uploaded to a server. 100% of the AI background removal and image editing happens locally on your device
            hardware (NPU/GPU/CPU).
        

1. Image Processing & Data Safety

The Service uses specialized Artificial Intelligence (AI) models to scan and segment backgrounds from your photos. **Your images are never sent to any remote server or third-party computer.** We do not have access to your gallery, the subject of your photos, or your processed results.

2. Information Collection

ZenCut does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) like names, email addresses, or phone numbers. However, the Service utilizes third-party providers that may collect information used to identify you:

Google AdMob: For serving advertisements. Google may collect advertising IDs, device identifiers, and location data specifically for ad personalization and troubleshooting.
Model Downloads: When you choose to download a specific AI engine (e.g., RMBG 2.0 or ISNet Anime), your IP address is visible to our secure model hosting provider during the download transaction only.

3. Permissions & Usage

To provide its functionality, the Service requires certain permissions:

Gallery/Photo Access: To allow you to select images for background removal.
Storage Access: To save finished exports to your local device gallery.
Internet Access: Required to fetch AI model updates and serve advertisements that keep the app free.

4. Advertisements & Sustainability

To maintain our Service and support the ongoing development of advanced AI tools, we display advertisements via Google AdMob. These include banner ads, native cards in the gallery, and occasional interstitials during heavy processing or saving. We implement "Ads Showing Rules" (disclosed in the app's About screen) to ensure ads are transparent and non-intrusive.
